| The apprenticeship of a precision mechanic
will make you to an expert for precise mechanical engineering components.
You will be trained to manufacture detail parts for fine mechanical components
and machines. Furthermore you will gain the knowledge and the ability to assemble
those parts together to functional electromechanical measurement and control
devices.
The result of your work will be used for several aircraft- and helicopter
types, as well as for medical technology equipment. Therefore we expect you
to work with the highest degree of precision and accuracy.
As a precision mechanic you will work very often on computer controlled
machines - nevertheless the use of conventional machines and traditional
craftsmanship is an important part of your training.
Systematic you will be trained to plan your work flow, to setup your machines
and to master demanding skills, like turning, milling, drilling and grinding.
You will learn to use a variety of measurement and testing systems and you
will be able to consider technical rules, standards and documents as a basis
of your work.
Continuous improvement of your work flow, including the comprehension of
economic aspects, well be a permanent and understood way of your work.
The regular time of the apprenticeship is 3½ years – this can
be cut by 6 month, if you show permanently above average achievements.
Requirements:
You can integrate yourself into an existing team? - You are skilful in the
use of tools? You have a good spatial sense, as well as a distinctive sense
of order and accuracy?
You have at least a very good secondary school degree and high marks in maths
and physics? - Then don’t hesitate to send us your application.
Payment:
The apprenticeship pay will be disbursed in accordance to the agreement on
tariffs of the Organisation of Metal-Industry, Schleswig Holstein.
Taking over:
If you made your final examinations with good marks, there is a good chance
to be taken over into a regular employment contract.
Advanced Training:
After a successfully finished apprenticeship and a certain amount of work
experience, you can go for further trainings, to become “Master”, “Certified
Engineer” or “Graduate Engineer”.
